Most CB sites don't deal anymore with Virgin Mobile. personally, i've had bad experience with Virgin Mobile cash back.

Great phone easily worth 30 bucks. Most of those bad reviews are for people that paid 60+ for it.

For Ringplus: VM says you have to activate it once it arrives so it should be exactly the same as the one from best buy, just go to ringplus, put in hex meid and icc id found on the bottom of the box, let ringplus accept it, then you can open the box and turn on the phone and let it auto-activate. Very easy.

This is true.

This is not true (the Tribute 2 was $20 on BF, not the Tribute). Regardless, like the LG Volts that VM sold for $20 a while back, that was then, this is now.

Yikes! Guys, this is a 4GB model with KitKat. The Tribute 2 is an 8GB (just barely enough to live on for the moment!), and Lollipop.

Different phones. I'm not sure 4GB is enough for anything anymore.

I wouldn't buy it for $30. Even the Tribute 2, I'm very unhappy with the apparently uni-focus camera. Wish I had a solution for that problem.

Ah my bad I thought it was the Tribute 2. The 2 is a slight upgrade than this one in many aspects, processor, graphics, android version. Most likely unnoticeable in real world use.

I guess it's a close call then. It is a fairly inexpensive phone you can switch to free ringplus service.

I'd probably wait for something better to show up if you don't need a new phone right away.

oh you are right

they look very similar in general (1gb of ram) until you see all the specs

tribute2 is like the tribute reloaded

definitely do not buy the original tribute, at least not for $30

I'm not sure I'd be okay with Android 4.x. Two generations old, security becomes an issue.

KitKat vs Lollipop will be noticeable in daily use.

works on ring plus just activated mine. I think the trick is to register on ring plus fist before you ever turn on the phone if you turn on phone it's too late

yes confirmed works on ring plus do not turn on before you activate on ring plus
