I use the firetv stick version because it's at least twice as fast to load. Seems like this is a totally subjective question

Better is all relative. Use what works best for you. It's all the same content.

If you have wired networking available by your tv and a device that can take it I would use that over Wifi.

If you are having problems please post those and we can try and go down that road.

it depends on the processor in your TV but think of it this way if it uses power and generates hear better to have it not be inside your TV

Apps on the players tend to have newest version which usually means improved user interface.

It is better to use the netflix app from the televison directly if your tv costs over $2000.

I have roku for not-so smart tv
For my smart TV (Samsung), it seems easier (and faster) to load Netflix, hulu,on xbox one than TV.
I have my xbox one on mostly, so that's a factor too. I use it to pause live tv and from next month DVR too.
Anyways, I use TV app less just for the convenience and lesser apps (than xbox or roku)
If I didn't have xbox one, I'd still get a roku for convenience.

I have Netflix on an old BluRay player. It has not been updated and does not support multiple users. I prefer using a streaming box.
