Sounds like you put all your newEGGS in one basket - see what I did there, hilarious!?!

Good deal, bought one, thanks OP!
Translation: "I wanted to money launder using gift cards on Newegg, and even wanted to get a discount from AmEx doing so, but Newegg brought their policy in line with nearly every other retailer, and now I'm mad."

"Many customers" = just one, you.

"Useless to me" = they retain full value, but I can't use them for a purpose not intended.

I know that you all can make your own choices, but I'm pleading with you not to buy from Newegg. They just changed their policy and are not allowing customers to use Newegg gift cards to buy any other type of gift card. They did this with no warning, leaving many customers like myself with a lot of Newegg gift cards and nothing to spend them on. Ebay gift cards and things like that were the only thing I had planned to spend them on. Now they are useless to me.

I guess no need 7200 rpm disk this day. With SSD as system disk, the data storage disk is OK with 5400 rpm driver.

I wonder how well these would work in a NAS.

LOL I'll bet this person bought a bunch of NE Premier Membership + $100 GC's for $80 during the Groupon deal and now is stuck with a ton of promotional credit that expires in 90 days. I have one myself, but I shouldn't have any problem spending it before it expires.

But, back to the actual "deal" here. Is it? I've seen a number of WD external drives for cheaper, is the Toshiba supposed to be superior somehow?
