Why would anyone buy a Lenovo after they've been caught installing spyware into the bios/system like 3 or 4 times already? Google Lenovo spyware and read through all the recent discoveries.

Any feedback? Looking to jump on a deal for the In laws. Either this or the other PC here but I prefer to save $100 unless the upgrade is crucial

Edit: I looked online for reviews, Walmart, Bestbuy, Amazon, Newegg none had reviews for this PC

Spec wise, a good deal for a basic budget laptop. These specs were/are going for about $300-350 when off deals.

Like you said, not much for hands on reviews so screen and keyboard/track pad performace is a roll of the dice

If you don't need 1TB of storage, and you probably don't, then go with the Lenovo, it is tax free and performance will be roughly the same. If you take out the 500gb in the Lenovo and toss in a 240gb SSD for $60 then you will have a much faster computer than the Dell.

Oh and you lose Touchscreen, but meh.

Also, don't get the Lenovo unless you are gonna remove the bloatware or install a fresh copy of Windows.

If not, then get the Dell.

Thanks for the feedback. Its for the in laws and they need a basic budget laptop. They got one a year ago and it was pretty crappy, every time I am over to their house they are complaining about it.

Are you able to swap out the HD for a SDD or upgrade the ram?

If that is the case, get something without bloatware, unless you are doing a fresh install. Antivirus KILLS laptops as well.

I bit. Wife only surfs the internet and maybe watches TV shows online, so this works well for less than the Dell deal at the Microsoft Store. Ill probably upgrade the RAM, maybe the HDD to SSD at some point.

I wouldnt know how to do a fresh install of windows. I would prefer to be under $300 for a laptop. Adorama has no Tax which is also a plus

Well if you get this Lenovo, at the least, just uninstall the bloatware=.
