I'm copying an old thread. Received an email for this today. Did a board search and didn't find anything.

You may use your eligible Chase card with Chase Ultimate Rewards, an Amazon.com gift card, an Amazon Payments Account or a Promotional Coupon to pay for the remainder of your order if you don’t have enough points to redeem for the entire amount of your order.
3. The points you apply to the order will be deducted from your order total and displayed as "Rewards Points" in the Order Summary.

Chase debit cards are not part of this program, only the credit cards listed above can be used for Shop with Points at Amazon.com.

Enrolling a card to Shop with Points at Amazon.com
If enrollment has not already been done for you automatically, you will need to link the eligible Chase card saved in your Amazon.com account as part of the enrollment process. Linking your card to your Amazon.com account allows your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to be displayed as one of the options you can use to pay at checkout. During the enrollment process, you will need to provide the information requested and accept the terms and conditions.

Enrolling your card in Shop with Points at Amazon.com displays as one of the options you can use to pay at checkout but does not make it a default payment method.

If you receive an error message while attempting to enroll your card, please call Chase at the number on the back of your card.

I used this offer before, I will try this next time.

And FYI since points are more valuable than 100 points/$1, I would use $0.01 in points as mentioned in the OP

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

Out of curiosity, to those who got the code to work what did you order?

Thanks.

I didn't get the codes to work the previous times either, but no go for me, even when I order something sold and shipped by Amazon (and over $15 just to check if that's what the 15 in the code meant.

Out of curiosity, where you do you spend your points to get more than 1 point = 1 cent? The gift cards on the Ultimate Rewards site are usually one to one, so I've just been redeeming for statement credit. (I have Chase Freedom, if that makes a difference.)

Works. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've used these Chase Freedom codes. Thanks OP!

Used on Starbucks GC.
