Last Friday I was doing a survey with my child--he would answer and I'd type what he said. As soon as I finished this survey I was going to cash out on my Opinion Outpost dashboard, and it told me my account was frozen "due to data concerns." WTF??? So I emailed them, explained the situation, and today got an email back saying they were deleting my account permanently and my points along with it! I am so upset, that was extra money I could really use for Christmas!

I am pretty upset about this, because I still had money in my account--about $35 worth of points.

I was wondering if anyone had any similar experience, and if there's anything I can do? I would at least like to get the money that I WORKED FOR!

Thanks!

How frustrating!? I'd try and give them a call and see if talking to someone on the phone can get your situation handled. 1.877.254.1234

I never let my points go over the $10 mark just because of this very thing happening on other sites, though I've yet to have issues with OO. I hope they get this fixed for you!

Number one rule of survey taking-NEVER let your cash accumulate beyond the mark that your allowed to cash out at. What you experienced happens to many. No matter if it is only $5/$10 bucks-cash it out.

One thing I have learned is to not leave any extra money in my accounts. I cash out the minute I am able to I figure it is better in my hands than theirs. The higher the figure is in your account the more likely they are to not want to pay you. By the way that really blows what they did.

Like everyone else said I too never leave any money in my accounts if I have enough to cash out. I have seen too many times over the years where people get dropped and lose their $.

Are you also a member of Survey Spot? They are "sister sites" with OO, and I know some people have reported problems over the years by belonging to both. It is not your fault; they are screwed up and say you have multiple accounts when really it is their own doing!

I had issues with OO earlier this year for almost twice the $. I filed with the BBB and had my money within 2 weeks. The process can be a little confusing, feel free to PM me if you'd like.
