One the best prices for a 55" TV from a reliable brand. This TV has been little less on black Friday, but it sold out very quickly. -iconian

It was $350 on BF. Seems like a lot of bad reviews coming off that sale. Mostly about a loud buzzing sound and very bad viewing angles.

It's 380 not 370. Please correct the price.

Amazon says this is the 2011 model. Might explain the price, though for a 55 inch tv this seems a great deal. If you have a fire stick or console it doesn't matter that its not a smart tv and probably fine picture quality for non-gamers.

What should gamers be looking for?

If this is the same model that they had for $350 last month then I highly recommend it. I've been using mine for a few weeks now and have been quite impressed. Didn't have high expectations, but it's been a great TV so far! I've used it to play XB1 (only FPS games so far) and Rocket League from my computer.

Higher refresh rate. Honestly I'm convinced that if you're a serious gamer you need to be playing on a computer monitor. I have a 56 inch and a 42 inch in my apartment but my XBox One is still connected to one of my computer monitors because I do so much better on the monitor than I do on any TV.

If I needed another TV I would definitely buy this one (though other posters seem to be saying this was even cheaper before Black Friday so many it will drop more).

FWIW: I got this TV for $350 before Black Friday. It replaced a 55" Samsung I got from Wally World back 2010 that crapped out on me. It's in the bedroom, no gaming, I watch Dish and stream Netflix through Chromecast and occasionally Rick & Morty through Localcast. It looks great but I don't look at it from any angle other than dead on. There's no buzzing issue with mine although I have to say I'm also using a cheapie RCA soundbar.

Fast response times, lack of ghosting, 120hz actual refresh rate, and support for deep color.

For movies, those things matter less, except for 120hz mode which can reduce judder on 24fps movies (which are the vast majority of them)

minimum 120hz refresh rate for this size but 240hz is what you're truly looking for. with this tv, you would be seeing a lot of "ghosting" if you tried to game with it.

Are there any true native 240hz refresh rate panels? I don't see how such a thing would help, honestly.

The refresh rate isn't really indicative of the actual response time, and most "240hz" panels are just using marketing lingo to talk about the post-processing they do to the picture... and post-processing is the first thing to go for "game mode" settings.
