This is my first post so please be kind.

I searched and found a similar post today marked expired - not sure why it's expired as I was able to do this just a few minutes ago.

Microsoft is cutting back your free onedrive storage from 15gb to 5gb and eliminating your photo storage unless you opt out. This can be done on their website: https://preview.onedrive.com/bonus/

By opting out you maintain your free 15gb onedrive storage and additional 15gb photo storage which you get if you let onedrive automatically upload your photos.

Cheers,

Hope I didn't screw anything up too bad

That's my feeling, as well. I finally paid for Google Drive in early November 2015, and I likely will not be moving again now that I've picked a cloud storage in which I have upload dozens of GBs of files.

I have two conflicting feelings about this.

Pretty upset with MS for their decision.

Happy for OP that this was his/her first post.

Since I can't decide, have an TU.

Thanks OP, I appreciate the link. I decided a couple of days ago to pay Google $2/mo for 100GB of storage as I'm close to my 17GB quota. I won't have to worry about photo storage now.
