Do something about bots spam-posting in Tech support (maybe other?) Boards

Can we consider something like a 1 month minimum age before people are allowed to post in tech support?

It would probably help if you posted links to some examples of these posts. bulb

You can't swing a dead cat around here lately without hitting one of these bots.

Hi OP,

As acesmuzic mentioned, please mod alert the ones you feel are spamming.
We already have several restrictions on new members, preventing them from posting for a month in any forum has a higher risk of driving away "good" new members.

I'm just wondering why this has become such a huge thing in recent months? It's not like this is something new but there are just so many of them lately. Or maybe they are just so much more obvious.

The "gigi" ones are just one that come to mind. They all seem to be new accounts registered within a short period of time and all post the same one-liner posts as the rest. This is the pattern with all of the others that I have been seeing as well. They always have short 3 or 4 character names followed by a number.

Yeah I saw those and did a mass wipeout of about a dozen the other morning.

They used to post in other forums..trying to sneak in. The giveaway forum comes to mind laugh out loud
I think they are trying to find less obvious places.. so please.. MA them when you see them.
