You cannot take these on ANY commercial airplane in America.

Keep that in mind if you're buying as a gift for someone and flying to get there.

That why it says Samsung battery. Which is quality enough not to explode. (Unless it's counterfeit, and they just used a Samsung logo on there to make people feel secure)

don't be dumb and believe the PR hype that companies like IO Hawk are feeding you IO Hawk is pissed off that we as consumers are starting to order these balance boards directly through the manufacturer at their price instead of paying IO Hawk $1,000 to simply import the $400 balancing board and resell it to us.

No kidding... we saw something similar at the toyota gran prix... it was over $2000. What a joke, you can get an old beater used car for $2000 and it will carry 4 people and have air conditioning.

In this price range it's tempting, but I'd look for reviews.

Can someone explain the appeal of these?
They are slower than walking. What's the point?
How lazy are that we cannot even walk anymore.

$400? More like $100-$150 for IO Hawk

They're not slower than walking, but I think the only place these would be good at is Vegas strip since taxis cost $20-$30 from one end of strip to other. But now that uber/lyft is around I don't see how this would be useful anymore.

Just bought one and this seems to be a slick deal IF it really comes with a Samsung battery. And I have been told it DOES in fact hover.

if you got your kid a console for Christmas at some point it's pretty much the same thing in terms of how expensive it is..
