I'm thinking about buying one on sale for $30 this week and I only have 1 more day to buy it. I don't know how easy it would be to set up and if it's too complicated, I don't want to waste money on it (or in this case, ECB's at CVS). I also won't have that much time to set one up. TIA! Second time around only took about 10 minutes to set up. (Trial run in the living room a lot longer!!!) |

Mine was about $70 new a few years ago.

I would definately say to get a easy up, first up or similiar folding frame canopy and don't waste your money on the ones that require putting numbered poles together, The pole frame canpoies are time consuming for setup and are very flimsy. You should be able to pick up a folding frame one starting fairly priced and well worth the money to save your sanity. We had picked up one on sale from Home Depot a few years ago for $39.
I've always
coupons, but this just makes them ![]() |

i, unfortunately, have to replace it since i loaned it out to my ski school and it broke.

Your prices are right in line with mine... hope to have another sale the first weekend in May. What's everyone going to price all the Nasal Ease and Similasan from Wags this weekend? I have 12 of each sitting on my pricing table at the moment. Thinking $3 each? It's always hard to price the free after RR stuff, since most people haven't heard of it. |

After having garage sales (twice a year) for years, I was shut down this week. I am stunned! A code compliance city employee showed up at my sale on the 3rd day. She was very polite and professional and said that one person called in to the city code compliance area and complained that I was purchasing things for very cheap with coupons and reselling for a profit. The code compliance officer informed me that it is not allowed in my community. I was shocked as I have had multiple police officers shop at my sale over the years. No one ever mentioned that I could be at risk for a problem. The code compliance employee (not a police officer) admitted that a police officer would probably not even be aware of such an obscure ordinance. She also admitted that MANY garage sales have resale items. The only reason that they came to mine is that someone complained and so they had to follow up on it. She also said that in the 3 years that she had been doing code compliance, she had never had to shut down a garage sale for a similar violation. It is THAT rare that someone calls in a complaint. I truly think that the city employee felt bad for me. She told me if I opened back up, I would face a fine of $90 to $500 plus court costs. I am absolutely stunned that someone would do this. Obviously, my sale benefited me but it was a help to so many others as it allowed them to stretch their dollar just a bit farther. I hope none of you have to deal with something so ridiculous. It's hard to speculate on why someone would call and complain. I really don't think it was a neighbor b/c they probably would have complained years ago. I tend to think it was just a random garage saler who stumbled upon my sale and had a bone-to-pick with what I was doing. I'm not sure where I am going to go from here...
