Meow.
I am not a cat lover. My sister is deathly allergic to cats. When we were growing up we wore each other's clothes and if I ever even touched a cat, she would be ill for days. I learned to stay away from them and, just from habit, mostly still do. As I said, I am not really a cat lover. (Now CATS are another thing altogether!) |
Love the pictures. It is so helpful! So question for all of you that garage sale...do you sell out of your garage and just keep your stockpile in the garage? I am thinking I could reorganize my garage to make selling easier by leaving my stockpile in my garage. Currently in my basement. So, when it comes time to sell all I will need to do is put some tables out and move some things around. What do you all do? (for those that have garages) |

I priced the cheapest ones (reg. $16.49) for $7, and the proglides Reg. $18.49 for $8. At all of my past sales I've had atleast 2-3 people ask for the refills, I always explain to them that is I "ever" did get the refills it would still be cheaper to buy the razors with the 2 cartridges because I could never imagine getting the refills at a prices where I could cell them for less then $2 per cartridge. We used to get boatloads of the fusions and I would sell those for $4, they wouldn't fly, but sold steadily, we haven't really been getting them like in the past so I marked mine for $5, had a sale last saturday, had 10 razors and 10 refills, sold all 10 razors, and only sold 2 refills. I pointed out to the buyers they'd save $1 by buying the refills, they didn't care, just crazy. Dh took some more to work and sold 4 refills, 4 razors and one styler, sold that for $10. |

mnaath, There is a thread called "Show off your Stockpile". You might want to check that out. Its full of photos, many of them taken at GS set ups. Some are of stockpiles themselves, on shelves, in tubs, etc. Just be careful selling out of your garage. Put or hide your tools, etc. Lock door into house so no one meanders into your house. Maybe search "set up in garage" or something like that. There have been discussions on this subject in this thread. Good luck! We keep our cars in garage, so no way could I keep all my stuff in there. Sure would be nice, tho'. Just keep them outside day or 2 before sale and during, so we can bring stuff up from bsmt and organize into displays. Each day after sale, we bring the stuff into garage overnite. marcia

I always have my stockpile set up in my garage. We bought wire shelving units (on wheels) and three sides of one half of our garage are lined with them. When it is time for my sale, I just wheel them outside - super easy set up and take down. Lots of my repeat customers email me and come over in between sales and buy from me - since everything is all set up all the time this is super easy as well. (I use the shelving (plus cardboard boxes full of extra stockpile stuff) to block access to the rest of my garage. I've never, ever had an issue though.)
