Oh, that's cool they have rental sheds for rent, is it expensive? No need to haul things back and forth sounds good. |

![]() So, have had last 2 sales at my SILs house, hard to find, not much traffic, my spring sale brought in just shy of $1000, but was cold and miserable. A lot of my regular buyers showed up (they recognize my ad) but instead of spending $50-100, they spent $10-20. I think the economy has a lot to do with it. I did put specific directions in the paper, which everyone commented on how easy it was to find with the directions, but wondering what I can do to increase my sales back to normal. Wanting a GS first weekend in June if I'm physically up to it!! This darn ear thing has wasted too much of my life and I'm really fed up with the whole thing!! Anyway, CL is not an option, the bigger cities here in NE have listings, but I am about 60 miles from the bigger cities at a minimum and the one time I listed, I had scammers emailing and calling then my listing was removed as being too commercial............ Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I don't Wag anymore but couldn't find it at RA so will have to Wag for this, how do you guys deal with the high taxes. I hate paying for anything with my cc, at RA I pay with gift cards (earned from RA rebates) so wondering if you guys just deal seeing there's also no eating into tax, or whatnot. Thanks. ps - tax is almost 9% and those bottles of C&C bw's are going to add up quick, which is why i ask, thanks. aha, i remember that, but I only remembered the pffftttt, and the rent the U-haul for sure part, didn't remember the shed part. lol... wow, 600 H&S and 600 right guard. Extreme GS'ing!

Well, I've decided to take a break for awhile, due to health reasons. So, I'm trying to find a buyer for my entire stockpile. I've listed an ad on Craigslist and a local website. I've got pics from my old flea market booth, and I'm currently working on making an inventory sheet, then coming up with a price. I posted preliminary ads last night, stating that I was selling out, and would post later with more info and price. And I already have one person asking questions. I'm really hoping I can just sell it all at one time. As I'm unable to continue hauling it and dragging it around to different area sales. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

So I have been thinking about becoming an official seller, I am a FT student so this would be perfect since I can do it on my own time and I am sure I could make more money than a PT job.
I have done two sales at home now and have made pretty good profit on both. I am moving back to Las Vegas next week so that would be where I would sell. There is an indoor flea market, outdoor, and I will have a house to have sales at (though I am renting so it couldn't be often). What is the best option, in you opinion? EDIT: The indoor flea market is $565/mo for 10x10 (open fri, sat, sun, 10am-6pm). I would probably only open two weeks a month, seems kinda high. Do you have to claim any of this, is there a limit when it becomes a "business", I was thinking of renting a FM booth but not sure if they need a license or to report income, etc. If it's a touchy subject, please PM me. Also, is there anyone from Vegas who already does sales? There aren't anymore RA's left so I am extremely sad, it's my favorite store. Do you think it's possible to be a seller without a RA nearby? Just debating my options, any input is appreciated! Last edited by Mandalina07; 05-09-2011 at 11:34 PM.. |

Hi,
Daughter and I were searching for a GS this weekend in an area where we didnt know the streets- it was listed on CL, but we found their signs easily because they had them stuck into the ground with the cheap dollar store pinwheels attached. The spinning shiny twirls were a great eye catcher and we plan on trying them whenever we have a sale. My most rewarding job doesnt pay a dime
