Howdy. I just got me a Xbox One. I'm wondering what everyone prefers. Do you like to buy games online and install them to your hard drive or do you prefer the physical disc?

I am too lazy to swap discs and don't sell my games so I am almost all digital.

For Xbox one, disc games need to be fully installed to hard drive so you are not going to save space by using discs.

I share games between two systems. They can be in the same house or anywhere in the world but two systems can share games. That said, I buy digital games. One copy allows two people on two systems to play coop or play a single player game separate at the same time.

I prefer digital versions so I won't have to swap discs.. And also because I hate having game cases laying around.

I don't see any benefit in buying discs over digital because you would still have to install the game onto your hard drive.

I buy most games used so I still prefer discs. Until Sony or Microsoft start offering price cuts in line with Steam I will not go all digital for games.

I like digital for handhelds and discs for consoles. I rarely need to bring my discs somewhere else but I only want to carry one or two cards at a time.

I prefer digital because it is fairly hard to get good reselling prices where I live for physical xbox one games. Besides, it is easy to redownload a title (perfect for the two times gta v glitched up on me) and very easy to get a good deal on these games. The only problem is if you digitally download and have a slow connection. Otherwise, other family members use discs.

I just use digital because my games won't get lost/stolen

Until they start lowering the price of digital to reflect the lower cost of distribution I'll keep buying physical.

I myself prefer physical over digital unless the digital cost is nearly nil. Digital "sale" prices on the consoles just plain suck imo. At least if I get bored with a physical copy of a game I can resell it to offset some of my costs. With digital you have no way to do that.

From my own experiences, he uses and abuses the sites he is a member of. He cares about no one but himself. If there's a deal ANYWHERE, he is the person to buy 100x of whatever it is to resell for profit, and usually get the deal pulled or canceled.

He lives near me. A couple years ago, he bought five copies of a game on clearance at target closest to me. Bragged about it here then soon found out the trade value wasn't worth a 'flip'. When I called him on it for being a scumbag for buying out the stock, he PM'ed me and told me he would now purposely return them to a target far away from me so I can't get a copy for myself.
Whine more, please.

Digital games take forever to go on sale. With gamers club unlocked I get new games for $48 plus tax (and a $10 cert if I pre-order) and I can often turn around and flip the game and recoup almost all of it if I decide I don't like it. Sold battlefront today for $45.

I prefer discs in case I want to sell the game at some point. But I don't mind digital if I can get the game cheap enough.
