Deal is live. Both Black and White 32GB on sale for $349.99

Not a deal as such but just a heads up.
Was browsing through Amazons deal of the day section and I see that Moto X Pure unlocked is $100 off. Looks like it starts at midnight Pacific time Dec 17th .
Not sure if this deal actually goes through or not.

Click on Today's deals and select Deal of the day on left side navigation and filter for upcoming deals.

Android rollouts for Moto devices barely trail Google's own Nexus devices. In fact, Android 6.0 has already starting rolling out to this device.
You're thread crapping here! The latest version of Android has been rolling out already over the past couple of weeks. Mine updated last week and my wife's new X updated right out of the box just two days ago. Go check how many other Android's are running Marshmallow via OTA updates already.

I've owned both. While most of the differences are subtle, I still prefer the new X Pure. I'll add a couple more:

-Slightly smaller form factor that makes a huge difference in the hand (N6 "feels" too big, XPE doesn't)
-Moto Apps - I really like the Moto display and always listening, hands free stuff (if I want to send a quick text, I can do it w/o touching my phone - like when I'm driving)

I actually kinda prefer the AMOLED display, but I seem to be in a minority. The XPE display is stunning.
All that said, if none of that is important enough to you to warrant the extra cost, go with the N6. It really is an awesome phone. And for whatever reason, completely underrated, which gives another advantage: it's under-priced!

meh.

I'd consider the 16 gb at $250. $300 stills seems steep.

hm. I want white but I don't want the bamboo. And i don't want to spend money. Would i be worth it to swap the bamboo on 16gb white and then sell the bamboo on ebay?

Yeah. These Motorola phones are pretty "meh"
Software support from Motorola is also atrocious. You will get the next version of android ... probably in 2 years, and that will be it upgrade wise.
Seriously - for a phone this expensive, they could put in a little more effort. F* them!
Just go with a Nexus phone if you buy an android phone unlocked and off-contract.

SD card slot.
Warranty. (did $200 Nexus 6 come with warranty? - Also, where can you get one now for $200?)
Better camera.
Better screen (supposedly much brighter screen - my Moto X Pure is quite bright).
Brand new battery (I suppose $200 Nexus 6 would be an old stock... Just a thought)
