56U is a very good deal

it is a GIGABIT router with HARDWARE NAT

I have the next model up the 65U

you can run padavan firmware on it and works great

only downside is internal antenna, don't buy if you need range

too bad the promo code doesn't work on the refurb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6833320094

wait did they raise the price on the non-refub, I am showing $85

oh I see now, the code isn't $30 off, it is $55 off

I think this same unit 56U was on sale during Fry's BF door buster deal ($10 AR) and everyone complained that it's got issue of inability to use 5 and 2.5 ghz, simultaneously? Haven't used mine yet , so I don't know?

I've had a ASUS 56U for about a year. It's a pretty solid router. Ran both custom and stock firmware on it. Never had any trouble with using 2.4 G and 5 G clients on it at the same time. Stock firmware doesn't have guest wireless though, running a custom build will let you add the feature.

Range was pretty decent too.

$19.99 is a great deal for it.

Got the Asus. Great deal. Anyone know how the rebate works in detail?

This is what it says at the product page "Receive a USD $10 prepaid card by mail from ASUS! Offer expires on 12/31/15. Limit 1 per household Print Rebate Form"

But I don't see a link to print a rebate form..

I was about to post this. I have had this router for about 4yrs, I love it the only complaint I have is range does not get to back/front yard and garage. wired hauls ass 500gb transfers at 90mb,sec. I don't have any 5gz devices so I turn that radio off. I bought a second to use as a WIRED ONLY network with a 24 port switch because the throughput is just great with this router. for 20-30 bucks none better.
