Hello- I am planning to travel via Southwest and while i was checking for rates it showed me that i will get $200 statement credit if i get their credit card. Catch here is $99 annual fee and it will be applied during first bill itself.
If i use this card for my booking i will be getting $200 but not sure what they meant by statement credit? Any one using/used this card please help me to understand.

Appreciate your help

Thanks

This is not the best deal out there. If you can spend a little bit of money for a few months you can get 25,000 points. Here's a video that explains it. [whatsthatcard.com] (this is not a for profit blog) That will get you more than enough for several flights.

I think the offer you saw was spend $500 in the first 3 months and get $200 credit plus 10,000 points.

Don't use that link - use this one for 40k bonus points: https://creditcards.chase.com/6000375

If you wait around, you can get 50k

The 50,000 points deal is the best decision I made for these types of deals. Received 50,000 for spending $3,000 in first 3 months. The annual fee is only $69 on the one card, so it pays for itself completely, granted you utilize it frequently. I've flown several times and still have points to spare. Great deal, highly recommend it.
