Yeah.. why is that green-label product showing up on the page? It seems the deal is for the blue-label. I got some on my last S&S shipment at a similar price and it is fine, but of course I'd prefer the made-in-Japan product.

The one for sale in this deal is made in Thailand.

[Edit] Just checked the link for the green one and it's made in Taiwan. I know there used to be made-in-Japan Ito En bottles available at my local stores but that was a few years ago and this might have changed.

The last case I had tasted fine. I can see it going bad if left in the sun for example.

Yes, the two products of this brand I received this year were fine too. Very good, actually.

I'd question the taste-experience of the ones that post the negative reviews (Cilantro, Soap, etc). Have they tasted other unsweetened tea products?

Someone who's used to "tea" products like Snapple from the Dr Pepper Snapple Group [wikipedia.org] are going to think these taste strange, or strangely .. natural?
