For those who don't need the EVO Plus and since the EVO Plus deal expired, Amazon has the Samsung EVO 64GB microSD card Class 10 UHS-1 for $17.99. I know the EVO Plus has been on/off for $19.99, but the extra speed will not matter for some applications.

64GB - $17.99

The lowest it has been on camel x3 is $16.97

Deal is dead on 32GB. Price is now $11.99

If I recall correctly, the base Evo is optimized towards faster random reads and writes, but slower sequential data access. This makes it better for smart phones, Raspberry Pi, and most computer uses.

The Evo Plus model has speedier sequential reads and writes, but slower random reads and writes. This makes it better for use in GoPro and other video recording devices.

What about the PRO version? I ordered a 32GB for $20 from Best Buy recently. Are they good & efficient for a flagship smartphone with an sd card slot?

I just ordered Evo+ from Best Buy for $19.99. It's arriving tomorrow. I might pull the trigger on this, too, unless I decide to pick up a 128GB at some point.

I know some microSD cards are faster, but with internal buffering on cameras and camcorders, I'm not sure how much a difference card speed makes. I'd appreciate expert advice. Smilie Thanks!

The 64GB EVO+ was $18 a couple of weeks ago from Best Buy for the same price. I would not call this a slick deal on that basis.
