Which cable modem should I keep?

Ok, so I bought 2 cable modems. A TP-Link 7610, purchased brand new for $38. The other is an Arris SB6183 Walmart refurb for about $50. Now, I do understand the Arris will handle much greater internet speeds. BUT, the 100Mbit download speed limit Time Warner puts on the TP-Link is MUCH more speed that I can foresee using in the next 5 years. The cheaper new modem will do what I want it to do for years I think. Right now I am using TWC's 20/2 plan and it's fast enough. I currently couldn't get anything over 50mbit even if I wanted since TWC Maxx is not here.

My question is, other than faster internet speeds, is there any other advantage or benefit to keeping the 16x4 channel Arris refurb over the 8x4 channel TP-Link?

Thanks!

Which do you think would be more reliable, the refurb Arris or the new TP-Link?

Doesn't matter what I think, what matter's how they work in your home.

If both work fine. I say keep the cheaper one.

You're saving $12. 24% savings.
