Update: Price is still valid, but is available only in-store. If your local Best Buy has this soundbar in stock you can still get in on this deal.

Best Buy has the highly rated MartinLogan Vision 5.1 Channel Soundbar [bestbuy.com] on sale for $800. Shipping is Free.

That's $700 off the regular price, and $500 less than the best price on Amazon from a 3rd Party seller. MartinLogan just released a newer version of this soundbar and Best Buy is clearing out the older model.

This is one of the best soundbars you can buy. It has three 'folded-motion' tweeters and four mid-range drivers for the Left, Right and Center channels. You can also hook up a subwoofer if you want more 'oomph' in your music. It includes Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround to support 3.1-channel surround sound and 5.1-channel simulated surround sound

Edit: Please try to keep the discussion on topic. Soundbars, by definition, are for people who cannot, or do not want to, accommodate a receiver and free standing speakers. We all know that a component system with a receiver and good speakers will outperform any soundbar. No need to repeat it ad nauseam. Thanks.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

'...Electrostatics have reduced even-order harmonic distortion because of their push-pull design. They also have minimal phase distortion. The design is quite old (the original patents date to the 1930s), but occupies a very small segment of the market because of high costs, low efficiency, large size for full range designs, and fragility....'

doesnt sound like a very good thing to spend money on. but im not a speaker expert like yourself. what is your impression on electostatic design speakers and tweeters?
Too much for a sound bar. But maybe I'm just poor or cheap. Crazy

Must be the new clearance price. Just ordered one from amazon.com for the same price, a few days ago. There is a new one out that has Play-Fi, but it is $1700. Can you stack a movers coupon with this? Repped.

Yes, you can stack coupons on this price, but double-check the % off on the coupon. They have made a few changes since the rampant (ab)use by non-movers!

That must be some amazing sound, you could really make a decent component system for $800 IMO.

the new one doesn't actually have HDMI. It's just a redesign of a few features. Depending on how much you care about the redesign, this is much closer to the new model than you think.
