Not always. Best Buy has some good game sales and then stacking GCU on top is typically unbeatable by Amazon and a lot of other retailers. If you buy a lot of video games, GCU is definitely the way to go. If you only buy them once in a while when you find a slick deal, then it's probably not worth it.

^this. You can also buddy up with a friend and "share" your GCU membership, cutting the price in half ($15 for 2 years), as long as one of you is okay not getting Reward Zone points.

the thing is they don't price match and stack GCU discount, is one or the other, if you want to get it for $40 then you have to return the one you bought and then buy it again
