This deal started out being instore only, and is now available online. Might be a great time for collectors to pickup a Gamestop Edition at a discounted price - daisybeetle

the system sold out online, you can only get it for pick up. i live in NYC and almost every GameStop near me has it available for pick up. out of the 45 gamestops within 15 miles of me, 41 have it in stock.

you can either use the online form or call to reserve your 3Ds so you don't make a pointless trip. this is a GameStop exclusive! best buy, amazon, etc don't sell it.

EDIT: now the system is available to buy on gamestop' website too.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

DEAD. Price went up to $200 and it's no longer available online. Many B&M locations sold out as well.

what's with the TD for not being able to do the deal? couldn't figure out that you have to press the "Check Availability" link to reserve your unit?

??? lolwut??? MSRP is $200. the regular black and red versions were on the front page @ $170 a week ago.

and like other special edition Nintendo products, this thing will always have a high resale value should you decide you no longer want it.

I wonder if it's because a lot of people out here jumped on yesterday's GameStop 3DS XL deal (Three GameStop 3DS XL's for $160 vs One New 3DS XL for $175).

I was actually looking to buy that model so thanks for the heads up. I think it's a good price since it matches what BB and Target sell Red or Black for. But I do feel it's a disappointing in that it doesn't have a Zelda game built in and doesn't even come with a power adapter.

no problem! if you have a discover card and recent model iPhone, don't forget to use Apple pay for 10% back.

the old model 3Ds was a nice enough deal, but it won't play future games. eventually games will be made strictly for the new 3Ds. those people will have to go and buy this thing again.

Wish I hadn't missed out on the 3 for $160 deal but this doesn't seem that bad either I guess. Thanks OP.

So other than the NFC, what games planned use the additional buttons/c-stick? Anything on the horizon yet? I bought in on the 3 for $160 deal the other day. In that thread there was talk of the 'new' versions, and how the old didn't work with 2 games.
