ssd drive

So my 10+ yeArs hdd is dying(I think) time to upgrade.is this ssd a good one to get? Windows 7 and asus motherboard is what I own.

This has very slow write speeds for an SSD (though it will be much faster than your dying drive and if you're putting it into a 10 year old system, it may make no difference to go with a faster one).

How much drive space do you need?

now I'm thinking double that.going to install games for when nephews come over.know of a good one to get? don't want to spend too much.

If reliability is a major concern, I'd recommend you go with Intel, Samsung, or Crucial (though not the BX200 series).

Here [amazon.com] is a Samsung for about $80.

you can get a 250gb samsung for around $70-80 and a 500gb samsung for around $140.

ok so the ssd drive is here.i bought a ssd bracket years ago.the screws that came with the bracket don't fit the samsung ssd drive. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00...ref=plSrch

yea I think return policy is way over lol.do I replaced the 250gig hdd with samsung ssd.computer still was acting weird.so I decided to move the seagate 1tb's data cable to a different sata port.what do u know.problem went away.i noticed sata cable was a bit loose on the mb.oh well I guess it was time for a ssd drive anyways lol.it boots up nicely Smilie
