Thanks Op... picked it up, sounds interesting and at 211 pages shouldn't be a real time consumer:

What if a god doesn't believe in himself? Sixteen-year-old Robert doesn’t even have a clue he's a Norse god. He’s got enough problems as it is. But things are about to get worse. The northern lights bleed through the blackness of the Arctic sky. Watching them, Robert recalls one of the Norse myths Grandpa Woody told him when he was a kid. He’d said the lights signified the gods having a party with dead virgins. But you should never wave a white cloth at them because a god might come down and take your head off. Robert briefly waves his white hoodie at the lights. Just like when he was a little kid, nothing seems to happen.

Soon after, a guy named Ivan transfers to Robert’s school. Ivan quickly befriends Robert, but there’s something strange about the new trickster in class. Somehow, though, he manages to convince Robert and a couple of classmates to follow his outrageous lead. Meanwhile, a mighty winter has set in, affecting people everywhere. Summer is buried in snow, and the Norse myths appear to come alive. Robert faces incredible powers, but he must believe in order to awaken the god within. And he needs to wake up before they’re all consumed by the deadly nightmare that’s waiting at the end.

Sometimes seeing is not believing; sometimes you have to believe in order to see.

Sorry, Andy K, missed your wiki comment. I know it's free today (and yesterday) because I'm Odin the All-father and thus I know everything... I'm also extremely humble, maybe the world's most humble, just ahead of Trump Smilie
