Here's how to get a Pre-Owned Wii U or Xbox One for $79.99

*This does require you already having two Xbox One consoles*

GameStop is currently running a special on all pre-owned products buy 2 get one free
at the same time they are running a trade in your Xbox One or PS4 for $200 in trade in credit.
Current Active Offer for Power up rewards members $20 off a pre-owned Xbox One or PS4

Purchased Items
Xbox One Pre-owned 500GB current cost $249.99
Wii U 32GB Pre-owned current price: $229.99

So I traded in my Xbox One Systems for $400 in trade credit. Then purchased my two Systems right back for $499.98 - $20 using the coupon ($479.98). For my free product I wanted a Wii U cause really who needs 3 Xbox One's?

I thought this was a good deal and it worked for me so if anyone has two Xbox One is their home or has a friend who will let them borrow their Xbox One I say jump on it. If you think this isn't a good deal don't shoot the messenger. Because if Xbox One's weren't sold by serial numbers I would repeat the process several times.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Sounds like a solid deal. My concern would be if they decide not to sell you back the original Xbone/PS4that you traded in back to you. This seems like a loophole in the system otherwise.

I was totally ready to buy two pre-owned Xbox Ones if I had to. I just thought I'd ask if I could buy my systems back.

Thanks!! I can't believe this was taken so negatively. The people I texted about it jumped on it so fast.

Maybe the part about the cheap Xbox in the title, only to read the thread and find out you need to own not 1 but TWO Xbones to do this mumbo jumbo you call a 'deal'.

No, the original title read "Xbox one or WiiU for $80" so people were expecting an Xbone or WiiU for $80. Don't really blame them for TD.

My way was easier. I bought 3 Wii U's at $229 each. The third one was free. Sold two on Ebay, so after fees, kept my 3rd one which ended up costing me around $100-$120.

But I also read the Buy 2 get 1 free ended Yesterday.

OP obvoiusly avoided teh fact most people will have to pay TAX on $499......but why let facts get in the way of an already sh*tty deal

don't be discouraged. this is a great deal if it can be taken advantage of. people will TD it so they can take advantage of it. They TD it so fewer people look. that way fewer people try, and that way the chances are better. With this happening it might be a matter of time before gamestop sends a memo to everyone

id argue this one is better. it doesn't require selling on ebay, which even when done quickly is a PITA. and this one nets out to about 2-40 cheaper, since you are incapable of actually doing the math.

Nice deal. I'd say put something like YMMV for getting your systems back. Also, because it's so involved, maybe list/number the steps you took.

Finally, some formatting could help (like bold and/or red font for warnings, some spacing, etc.). Paragraph format isn't always the best.
