Disabling subscribers on youtube

executivedealer 2,785 491 December 30, 2015 at 09:52 AM
Somehow I gained a subscriber, however I have no idea how that happened nor intended on it. I know I upload videos and made them public, but I don't want to have subscribers who are notified on every video I release. How can I disable this? I want to upload videos for the sake of sharing it with some people, I don't mind if anyone else sees it, but don't need people seeing every single video.

Also, is there a way to exclude 'my' views from videos that I upload?

Don't think you can, it's not the purpose of YT and it's a public video. People are not always notified every time, depends on what their settings are.

Your might be better served by making your videos unlisted. They are public, but don't show up in searches or your stream I believe (When your not logged in). So anyone you want to share it, you send a link they have to use your link to see it.

Other platforms might also be better but not sure, what your doing is kind of against the "Social" nature which seems where everyone is. If you like the content of someone and want to see more you follow, subscribe, etc so you don't miss it.

I don't think there's a way to disable subscribers, but there is a way to see who subscribed to you and to block them if necessary.

I would just set uploads to default to unlisted or private and disable comments.
