Notification Issues (Delays, Not Clearing, Etc...)

I'm running the following devices and I see the same issues on All three Devices:

Moto X 2013 - Android 5.1 (Verizon Stock) - Removed SD app because of the below issues
Motorola Droid Turbo 2 - Android 5.1.1 (Verizon Stock)
Asus Nexus 7 (2013) - Android 6.0.1 (OTA Direct from Google)

Issue 1: Notifications are showing items that are old. If I open the app from the notification drawer to see the latest items, The item(s) listed in the notification are never the latest notifications. Sometimes they are 40-50 minutes old as there are "new" deals listed that have been on the website for 20 minutes - for which push notifications have not yet come in. The whole point of Push notifications is so that you get an update on the latest deals as they are published (or within a reasonable amount of time). I should NEVER see a newer item in the list than what I see in the notification (with one exception - latest Deal posted within last 1-2 minutes) and there should never be 3-5 Items ahead of the one in the notification.

Issue 2: After having opened the app (whether it be directly or from the notification drawer), I will get new push Notifications (often 10-15 minutes later from the SD app showing things I looked at on that device (10-15 minutes Prior). The App should know what you've already looked at and only notify you if things you haven't already seen now appear. Realistically, it should be tied to your account so if you look at something on the web (while logged in) or through the app (again while logged in), you shouldn't see it on any other device as a push notification. Along these lines, it should clear notifications on other devices for things you've looked at (but this clearing on other devices would probably be more of a "feature" request)

The first issue makes the app almost worthless and has made me remove the app entirely on one device and turn off push notifications on another. The Turbo 2 is the only device I have notifications enabled.

For reference, I've uninistalled/reinstalled, Cleared Cache, restarted the devices with no change in either of the above two issues so they are definitely Flaws (BUGS) in the app itself that need to be corrected.

51 days and nothing from a SD rep? I thought this would be checked by SD reps as this is the mobile app feedback section. any updates on these items?

Hi Specboy - Apologies, I missed this post somehow and just read it today when you followed up. You are correct that there are issues with the timeliness of our push notifications, there is often a short lag between when the deal hits the notification threshold and when the push is sent. We are working to improve those issues and your feedback helps very much.

Apologies for these issues and again for the delay in response. I'll update here when we have a better solution in place.

it's more than just timeliness on the notifications that are a problem, it's the fact that I'm notified of deals I have already looked at. the notifications are disconnected from the app as you should not be notified of a deal from 2 hours ago when you looked at the front page deals just 5 minutes ago. it's a simple "if(I looked at the deals at 8pm)/then(don't show me any deals posted before 8pm)" statement. literally, this just happened: I was just notified of a deal posted 2 hours ago that I read more than an hour ago. if you implement the "if/then", at least you take care of old deals not being pushed until you figure out timliness of push notifications. this should help with negative feedback. I could deal with delays in notifications but these alerts to things I've already seen is a continuous "push notification" reminder of how annoying the app is. honestly, I Ike the capabilities of the app and it is easy to navigate. I want to like this app but these simple issues surrounding the fundamental principle of SD, and the lack of fixes on this makes me not like it.
