Tryin to upgrade memory but not sure what I need.

Toshiba website list Toshiba PC3L-12800 DDR3/DDR3L-1600MHz Computer Memory Module - 4GB.

When I go to the Crucial website it also list Toshiba memory ...

Is there something special about the Toshiba memory where I can't use any PC3L-12800 DDR3/DDR3L-1600MHz Computer Memory Modules or does it have to be Toshiba?

Any DDR3 1600+ SO-DIMM ram should be fine.

Thanks .. just concerned since Crucial gave me Toshiba memory instead of a loy of different options.

Now .. if you don't mind answering, since in my ignorance I upgraded the ram on my PC to 16 GB why is it when I ran the program you gave a link to (which REALLY APPRECIATE) does it show ..16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28) when my memory is 1600 MHZ/

Which came first, apathy or ignorance when it comes to politics? Are so many people apathetic when it comes to politics because of their ignorance or are they ignorant because of their apathy?.

"You cannot take any people, of any color, and exempt them from the requirements of civilization -- including work, behavioral standards, personal responsibility and all the other basic things that the clever intelligentsia disdain -- without ruinous consequences to them and to society at large.." - Thomas Sowell

The ram is clocked at 800MHz, the 1600 is MT/s
