It looks familiar with an LG G2.

i've been curious about this one. my wife dropped her phone in the mop bucket and I'm looking to replace it with something fairly cheap. she is definitely not a heavy user, mostly texts and calls, but she does need decent battery life.

anyone have any real world experience with this phone, specs seem pretty good for the price.

Oneplus X maybe a better choice for your wife, which has better design. The HTC model is targeting young people.

but my wife likes to think she is still young, maybe this will help!
also, no nfc on the X and its not waterproof at all, and it would be more expensive. I agree that it looks nicer.

wish the battery was a bit bigger, but at least it has quick charge. I'm not a fan of Sense UI, but perhaps a Google Now launcher would do the trick.

This phone looks cheap. I recommend the Oneplus X too.

i agree that the X looks much more premium, but my wife doesn't care about that. she is the destroyer of phones and every phone goes into the biggest ugliest case I can buy. she wants protection and she wants it to be easy to find in a big giant hurry. She uses it for work and is on call 24 hrs/7 days a week. she is a veterinarian and the phone goes everywhere with her and gets used and abused and almost never survives a year. Honestly, she takes phones, gadgets, tech in general

Look into the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua. Water, dust proof and decent battery. I actually have one I'm about to return one to Amazon, the phone is too big for me, so would say it's easier to find than smaller phones. Also FYI, the one plus x has very limited US LTE bands

thanks, that M4 Aqua has been on my watch list as well. For $200, it seems like a good option

I have this phone and I like it. For the price it's a good deal. The charging ports are open and yet they're still waterproof somehow! Unlike the Samsung Galaxy s5 there's a port cover, which breaks often.

Plus it's a very speedy phone with good battery life. You can roughly a day and a half without charging with light use

Check the frequency bands for the X before buying. They are severely lacking.
I forgot but it's either bad for T-Mobile or AT&T ...

Depending on where you are I could sell you the one I have. I got it for $160 + tax

this Huawei Honor 5X is somewhat tempting as well. SD615 isn't great and no NFC
seems pretty good for $200, but no mention of water proofing

The HTC Desire Eye is still better except metal design.
