Ashford.com [ashford.com] has Edox Men's Les Vauberts Day Date Automatic White Dial Watch w/ Leather Strap (83007-3-AIN) for $429 (Weekly Sale) - $111 Apply Code AFFLESVAUB318= $318. Shipping is free.

Former front page deal back in February 2015 without the below Amex offer. This watch has ETA 2834 mechanics and a 40mm face.

Combine this deal with the Amex offer of $50 credit back when you spend $250 or more at ashford.com. YMMV on whether you have the Amex offer for your card. Also keep in mind it likely expires 01/07/2016.

This is a good deal by itself. With the Amex offer, it is great. If I didn't already have something similar , I would be all over this.

Got the black dial version of this watch during their Black Friday sale in November. It's beautiful and runs very well. This is a total no brainier with the Amex $50 off.

Edox is a huge name in Europe. This watch uses in-house made Edox 83 caliber (based on ETA 2834) with branded rotor. This is not regular run of the mill ETA caliber that lesser Swiss brands usually put in their watches.

After CB and Amex offer price goes down to $247! That's as good as it gets for a higher quality Swiss manufactured watch.

Uhh this movement is nowhere close to in-house. It's simply an elabore-grade unfinished ETA 2834-2 with a branded rotor. I'm only assuming elabore-grade because of the Incabloc shock protector. There is not additional improvements that have been done by Edox.

If you want to see true in-house (not manufacturer) work, go look at what Nomos can do to a stock Peseux 7001 movement.

With that said, it's a great deal with the AMEX offer.

Sure it's not Manufacture grade, nobody assume that, it's just a kind of in-house finished ETA movement. True in-house manufacture will ring many times more MSRP of this Edox.

I've seen more complicated in-house work in Maurice Lacroix watches for example, but nowhere close to price of this watch. Tissot sells their watches with run of the mill plain ETA's at twice the price of Edox Les Vauberts and people consider them a good value. Smilie

How often would this watch have to be serviced and how much would a typical tune-up cost?

Careful Ashford has terrible customer service and is not a authorized dealer so there is no warranty.

$50 account credit if you spend over $250 at Ashford. Log into your amex account and check to see if you can add it to your card

I beg to differ on the customer service. Ashford is a grey market dealer so of course there isn't a manufacturer warranty, however, they do have their own warranty that they honor.
