We're changing our logo and I need vector graphics so that it is scalable for large print (3' banner). I've attached a PDF that has a high res logo but it needs to add a pair of elements from the attached PNG file (rugby ball replaces football & larger font for sport name)

Would someone with illustrator skills update my logo? (I'm familiar with Photoshop but can't figure out paths in Illustrator) I'd really, really appreciate it!

(CLOSED ... got what I was looking for, thanks!)

I don't have illustrator anymore and have been making due with inkscape. This logo shouldn't be that difficult, I was doing stuff like that in Aldus FreeHand when I was a kid. Hopefully these links help.

Ha! I remember Aldus - I actually was on QA team for PageMaker & Persuasion. Text paths I get, its creating scalable vector-graphics that I'm lost on.

If I understand you correctly that's the easiest part. You just draw your logo in illustrator in a manner very similar to photoshop and export... voila!
