I need to point out that the OP's amazon link is for a different set of knives, the chef's is 9" as oppose to 8", so the price difference is not actually $70 as SD mods advertised.

beautiful knives. I would get only if I know my wife wouldnever use them. she would ruin the knives in one day. I have wusthof classic knives set and love them.

They are very nice looking but be aware these are carbon steel, not stainless, so they will turn grey with use.

Would be right if finger guard is not part of the knife.

Also, they are closing their doors...so you have to go to the manufacturer for warranty.
