Would very much like Amazon to match the price (got taxed on both), if they have it in stock (3rd party sellers do not apply.) Link to Amazon. [amazon.com]

Decent deal. The 850 EVO for the same price that has come up a few times in the last month or two is the gold standard for SSD deals. However, this drive has a 5 year warranty and decent performance, so at this price point would be fine for 95% of folks out there. Perfect drive for perking up a laptop stuck with a mechanical drive - friends don't let friends own laptops with mechanical drives Smilie

I am going to pick one up for my daughters college computer. Its the last computer I own with a mechanical drive for a boot drive...

Sandforce 2281 is almost 4 years old now. Pretty old now, isn't it? Did Seagate buy LSI?

Okay - why not? I love newegg. No tax in NY and never had a problem with them at all. I purchase about two dozen items a year from them.

OOS now. Still waiting for a deal on the 250GB 850 EVO. I have one in my desktop that just flies, and would love to drop another in my laptop.
