Cheapest I've ever seen this set. Normally 59.99.

I passed by this in the mall and what struck me was how expensive it was for so few pieces. Am I missing something?

Licensing fees must not have been cheap.

The Doctor Who set for the same price is significantly better (if you want a licensed IDEAS set).

Or the Exo-Suit is also a better buy.

This set is proof that people have horrible taste.

They should put out a Sanford and Son set to show that these things are truly overpriced junk. Geez Lego, how greedy can you get?

Or it could be that others just enjoy something that you don't appreciate. Billions of people on the planet who enjoy different things, who'd of thought. No reason to bash the interests of others that you don't share. Try to find some joy in your life.

What's the point of the internet if I can't be consistently negative?

Regardless, when it comes to price to bricks ratio or even build, this set seems to fall short of others at similar/lower prices.

its great when others can hide behind an avatar and dictate what others should do on the web isnt it? Typical forum behavior. Be negative or positive all you want on the nets!

This is from the same line as the exo suit - Lego ideas. Basically you can submit any Lego idea you have and people vote on it. Accumulate 10k votes and the set goes through an official review process before being made into limited production ("limited" being applied loosely here). Official info found here [lego.com]
