Thread Details

This is more of a heads up for those of you with a starbucks card and a balance and a credit card payment saved in starbucks account, I woke up this morning with warning from my card company of a $100 charge from starbucks and email from starbucks for balance transfer and card charge to another account.

So I thought of posting it here to see if anyone else also experience such issues or is it just me?

Something similar happened to me. My CC company reserved the 2 $50 charges.

If someone hacks into your Starbucks account they can drain funds from any cards stored in your account. Best option is to not use auto reload or store any cards in your account. Also use a strong password for your account.

This happened to me last year around something to the tune of $250. Got the charges reversed, but I don't let any of my cards stay connected to my starbucks account/app.

Answer: No auto Reload. I usually get other GC and transfer balance to main gold card.
