These monitors are AWESOME. I have the LG panel IPS version. Absolutely love it. Not much difference in the PLS version.

Why would this monitor not be compatible with a laptop? (per their description)

Because it only has a DVI port which laptops don't have and it does not work with convertors ( per their description)

That seems really suspect. An HDMI to DVI or a Displayport to DVI cable should work. I used those on my laptop all the time.

I have a similar QNIX (I'm not sure if it's the same model or not, but it had similar warnings) and it works perfectly with an active displayport adapter.

Are these the ones that can have their refresh rate overclocked?

passive hdmi/displayport to dvi dual link converters do not work for this resolution and higher. you'll need an active adapter which run $70 - $100.

Thoughts compared to a U2715H? I know there is a huge difference is price but outside of the additional inputs how do the actually picture qualities compare?

Ive had one of these for over a year - great monitor!

The only issue I've had is pretty minor, the stand is a little wobbly but it hasnt really been a problem
