I usually love these posts for the free albums google play offers, but this one is useless. Very poorly rated albums from artists no one has ever heard of.

The one exception is Jeff Buckley, but even that album has only 9 reviews, so not very popular. Sorry, just my opinion.

It only has a few reviews because it's the "Google Play bonus track version" of the album. The standard edition of Grace [google.com] has almost 900 reviews with a rating of 4.7 stars.

The free one here includes the entire original album and adds a couple of bonus tracks.

Definitely check out Jeff Buckley's album just for Hallelujah. He does a great job with it.

Ah, ok. That makes a lot more sense for a larger artist like him. Thanks for the feedback.

I copied this quote from Google Play Music.
"About the artist
Quetzin is, to quote the man himself, "just a guy who loves music". His style is based in trip-hop and micro-house ("I would call it something along the lines of micro-pop or micro-wave, actually, if it sounded less ridiculous.")"

I grab a lot of free music on Google Play thinking I'll maybe listen to it and find a gem among the garbage. Most of it I never get to. When I do, I usually find nothing. Quetzin has something. Not a diamond, more like a shiny rock that you stick in your pocket. I can't say that I love it, but I can't thumb it down either. In the right context, in the right frame of mind it works. It's not something to sing along with on your drive to work. It's more personal, introspective, introverted. Maybe a soundtrack for a good book. If any of this makes sense or doesn't sound too ridiculous. Free if you got the time. Not for fans of American Idol.
