Got a message in my ebay messages about a promo where the more items you sell the bigger coupon you earn, up to $50.

For Reference: http://www.ebay.com/

The details are as follows:

This promotion is by invitation only and applies to (username here). Sorry, no forwarding—the offer is not transferable.

The average price is calculated on final sale prices for items sold in auction-style and fixed price formats in new and used condition over a 60-day period ending December 14, 2015, for non-professional sellers only. Shipping and handling costs not included in calculation. Because this is an average price, the actual price may vary. No representation is made that any item will sell at a particular price, nor is any claim made that eBay will result in the highest average selling price in every category on the site.

Please note: Invited sellers must activate the Promotion by selecting “Activate offer” in the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page. Items listed prior to a seller activating the Promotion will not be eligible for the Promotional Offer.

Eligible sellers who activate the offer and then list qualifying items‡ and who sell one (1) or more item(s) listed on eBay.com, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein, are eligible to earn a single eBay Coupon (“Coupon”).

‡Qualifying listings can be in the auction-style, auction-style with the Buy It Now feature added, or fixed price format, and do not include Real Estate or Classified Ad listings.
The value of the Coupon will be up to $50, depending on the number of items listed during the Promotion Listing Period (January 8–18, 2016) that sell by January 31, 2016. Sellers will earn a $5 Coupon for one sold item, and an incremental value will be added to the Coupon upon the sale of up to three additional items. The value of the Coupon will be as follows:

Sold Items Coupon Value
1 $5
2 $15
3 $30
4 $50
An item is defined as listed when it is posted for sale on eBay.com and the listing is maintained until 1) the item sells, or 2) the end of the listing period is reached. An item is defined as sold when it is paid for in full by a buyer. The eBay Coupon will be awarded within two weeks after January 31, 2016, but may be sooner. Once credited, the Coupon will also be available in the “Messages” tab within “My eBay”. The Coupon is not transferable. The Coupon is subject to other terms and conditions. Limit of one (1) Coupon per eligible, participating seller. Users will have until the date listed on the Coupon to redeem on www.ebay.com.]

Take careful note of this clause in the coupon...

This Promotion does not apply to listings with a start date prior to Friday, January 8, 2016, including those listings revised during the Promotion Listing Period. Additionally, the Promotion will not apply to listings scheduled to start after the Promotion Listing Period. Listings created prior to Friday, January 8, 2016, which are scheduled to start during the Promotion Listing Period, will be eligible to receive the Coupon.

Irrespective of how you interpret this, eBay will disqualify any listings that are edited after they are first posted. <- That's not how I read it. If you listed before 1/8 and you revise during promotional period thinking it will qualify, it won't work. If you list during promotional period and revise it should be fine as long as you first listed items during promo period.

1. login to ebay
2. click on Hi user name
3. go to account settings
4. click on activity
5. under summary click on did not win
you could see the coupon. $50 coupon code. copy and use it on check out ( paypal )
6. Be happy about it.

I got an offer a while back that gave me up to $100 back. I sold a phone but never got an alert that my coupon was sent. If I wouldn't have been browsing ebay, I should have never noticed the coupon.

They also messed up the other day when they sent it the cash back coupon. They didn't include the account or the coupon code or something like that

You're lucky you sold it for 178 not 871 or the fee would have been a whopping $87.10 plus 3% Paypal fee which is extra $26. So $113 in fees alone is enough for most of us to buy a new phone. EEK!
