M185 Mouse $1.99 after PM and coupon at Staples expires 1/16

Let's see how good you are at a Staples store to pull this off (extremely YMMV).

M185 Mouse at Staples is $19.99.
http://www.staples.com/m+185/dire...&min=&max=

M185 Mouse at Office Max/Depot is $9.99
http://www.officedepot.com/catalo...stion=true

Price match at 110% is $8.99*.

Now the tricky part. There is a $7 off coupon at Staples so: $8.99 - $7.00 = $1.99

In-Store/Online/Phone Coupon Code: 49654
http://www.staples.com/coupons/?i...20140101:0

* Price overrides/matches do not affect status of regular priced items.

Most of us know the Staples guidelines, so let's see how good you really are and post your receipt .

Good Luck

I have been told by Staples salesmen that PM cannot be combined with any other coupons.

We all (nearly) know the guidelines. But since there isn't much of anything at Staples this week, so we might as well have some fun.

Worst case scenario is you walk out with a mouse for $8.99 which is still a good price,

I'd argue worst case scenario is the cashier does the PM and coupon, gets reprimanded for violating their policy and/or your account gets reviewed by loss prevention (unlikely but possible).

Extremely unlikely as dollar amount is too low to raise red flag. I do it with laser printer toners when Staples comes out with coupons and I PM Amazon. Not a LP issue and all same associates are still there.

Could it be any more effort for a lousy $8 mouse?

There is no real effort here. If one is out and about sometime this week and has a few minutes to kill then try it. No one is expected to run out and do this. This was created to be a little fun challenge for this week, Y'all need to lighten up a bit.

I concur. There's been a few Staples deals posted already this weekend. If one should happen to be at the store looking for other items it can't hurt to give this a go.

Staples sucks. Mad Period. nod The "good old days" are long over. The management at all four of my locations
put the fear the god into every cashier to "just say no" to everything (price matching or any "coupon combos or stacks") whether "semi-legit" or not. They wan't SD'ers to feel the frustration and time waste and remember it so it never happens again. What we have here with "this mouse deal" is the occasional anomaly of someone getting lucky...oh wait...it's seems no actual transaction has occurred here. This is just a "deal hypothesis" proposed so others can waste their time. Coolshake head

Good mouse to try on an Android TV box. Had higher end mice that were jumpy but this mouse works good, came as part of the MK 270 Keyboard/Mouse combo.

It is a $20 mouse with very good reviews, which can potentially be had for $2.

Nice thread crap...what's next, go kick the dog?

As to others, this person made the attempt and got it. No Fear.

I hope you don't mind, I set up a separate thread for the solid $8.99 PM so it would get less negative attention from the YMMV coupon stack. As I say in that thread, I wouldn't mind it getting merged w/ this thread if mods can promote the less-YMMV $9 instead, and maybe reset the TU/TD so ppl are more likely to see it.
