Try it before you knock it. Granted, it can effect some more than others, but it clears wire clutter on my desk at work, nightstand at home, mount in the car, and various places around the house. A few of these "pucks" or stands and your phone goes into "dream mode" and becomes a little clock or can hold the phone up for movies while charging.

In the kitchen, I have two pucks taped to the counter so my wife and I can come home from work, plop the phone down to charge while going about our business. No need for both hands to plug it in if you're holding bags or anything else in your other hand.

In the car, the cable goes to the qi capable phone holder directly from in the dash so there isn't a loose cable hanging around that you may need to fish out from between the seats in case you need to charge your phone during the drive.

This is a great price if you want this stuff. An Anker quick charger and cable can be purchased for $6.50 on Amazon when there is a deal. For $20 here you get all original Samsung components. So you can sort of think of it as ~$13 for the wireless charging pad alone.

I was told that it would work with Nexus 6, could someone please confirm that?
Thanks!

Is there measurable impact/benefit of a wireless charger or is it just a gimmick? I have a Edge+ phone and don't really find plugging a micro-USB cable a big deal.

However, I didn't think touch screen smartphone was a big deal 5 years back either and was happy with my Blackberry until I switched to iPhone 3G.

Don't forget that this doesn't fast charge wirelessly (if your phone has that). There are wireless pads that do. Not knocking it as I have a Note 4 that can't fast charge wirelessly anyway, and I have 2 similar type slow wireless chargers. Just trying to help.

But really, what's the point of a wireless charger at all?

If youre going to set your phone down to charge, all it does is save you a few seconds to connect and disconnect the cable.

The charging speed difference makes wireless charging kind of for naught.

am I missing something? lol

It charges slower than an actual plug, but the benefit of not wearing out the micro USB port is worth it IMO, i have wireless chargers at work and on my night stand.

It's just easier, but does take longer. Samsung has a new wireless fast charger that is supposed to help some, but I personally prefer the charge speed to ease of use as I don't consider plugging in a micro USB cable to be that difficult.

Protects your microUSB port against wear and tear, and if you have a busted port, you can still charge your device this way.

These are nice but my samsung is finicky charging the s6 though the verus dandy case. It charges but if its not sitting just right it goes into error mode. Error mode sucks it sits there and does nothing but a blinking light even tho it hasnt moved and nothing has changed.......
