Staples Demo Tablets that dropped to $59.50. IN STORE ONLY. Extremely YMMV
306699 Demo 7" Kindle Fire HDX
1376087 Demo Kindle Fire HD 6
1376088 Demo Kindle Fire 7 (49.50)
1147626 Demo Demo Galaxy Tab S 8.4
1150882 Demo Toshiba Encore 2
1375857 Demo Encore 10
1415654 Dem Asus 8
1415656 Demo Toshiba Encore Mini 7

This is a leg search item. No search program works on Demos. There are no coupons. You can probably get an extra 10% off due to being a demo depending on the person you deal with.

Disable Kindle Demo;
1. Tap the "search" icon;
2. type ;demo (include the semicolon)
3. Press the arrow key
4. In the middle of the page, there should be an option something like "Resell....", tap that
5. Select "Resell"
6. It should be restarting, and you end up seeing a picture of a Kindle, with an arrow pointing to the power button in different languages
7. Turn it on again, and register your Kindle all over again

In order to save some of your fellow SDers some time and/or heartache, it would be extremely helpful if people who've actually visited stores in search of this deal posted: (1) which store(s) they visited; and (2) whether they hit pay dirt (and cleared the place out) or struck out.nod

There are no retail units left. All of these will be in the storage room. All these units were 99.50 while the coupon was available and dropped in price once the coupon was gone. This list requires someone to actually walk into a store and ask for them.

I mean stores that actually had retails..some stores never carried the Galaxy, so they wouldn't have demos,right?

I like the term "leg search" coined by OP. Search by walk-in to the store.

What a store has in stock will be different from store to store. They will have anywhere from none to all of them. These should've been dropped in price while the coupon was active, but impov someone in Staples Corp had a brain fart.

Pru, will one store know if another store has a demo without calling? I have a store close by that doesn't have any demos. Can they tell me if any stores within a 5-10 radius have them? Thanks.

Yes. They can look up every store in the US in their desktop AS400 emulation screen (green letters on black background).

I tried to get a demo Galaxy tab several months back and the salesman said he couldn't sell the demo due to the software on it. I called a Staples corporate number that was posted in the thread, and the lady confirmed what the store guy said. So good luck!

Nope. All they need are store numbers.

Look through past threads. There are many people who've bought them. You hit a store that didn't want to do the restore to delete the demo. Most of us who bought them deleted the demos ourselves. As to Corp it depends on the rep you get. I get on the phone with them and state if Corp didn't want this sold then why did they change the price from $9999.99 to a retail price on all of them? Why do they continually drop the price every 60-90 days?
