Samsung Go Prime smartphone.

This is labeled as an AT&T model, but the URL indicates "unlocked" and the item description says "This 4G LTE smartphone is unlocked." Likewise, the phone features mention it's unlocked (see below).

Phone not found in other searches, except the likely similar Core Prime model for T-Mobile that was $90 and included some airtime recently.

However, this one is likely competitive with the ZTE Zmax2 selling for about the same price lately, only for a name brand phone.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Samsung...e/47362911

Basic features from the web site:
4G LTE smartphone network
Bluetooth v.4.1 technology
Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS
Rear 8 megapixel camera with flash
Front-facing 5 megapixel camera
1.2GHz quad-core processor
Mobile web unlocked smartphone

Questions and comments indicate it has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash storage. The user manual (http://www.att.com/support_static..._G530A.pdf ) also indicates microSD support and a removable battery.

The specifics of the processor aren't mentioned, but it's quite likely a Snapdragon 410.

If you already have Cricket or are considering joining the HTC 626s for $70 could be a better alternative [cricketwireless.com].

Is this the same prime that was $50 on BF? It's not bad if it's really unlocked, but I doubt it. If it's unlocked, then it would be refurbished? It's strange.

Anyway, one thing to remember is the resolution at 5", 540 x 960 is low. If 5" is not an absolute must for you, consider a smaller screen for similar price point, but this is still a decent deal for a phone that's possibly more reliable and higher quality than ZTE or other budget devices.

Having owned 3 Samsung Android phones and tried HTC, Asus, and LG (and now Panasonic), I will say Samsung makes very stable phones. They may be.....boring, or priced high for the flagship, but they are stable and well-made (mostly in their OS) so if you're not into firmware flashing every few weeks, I'd stick with Samsung.

Touchwiz is a major negative and as pointbob said 2 gigs of ram alone is enough of a reason

Even if you ARE into firmware flashing, the Samsung will likely see more long-term love from its manufacturer and Cyanogenmod than the ZTE will.

This isn't worth more than $30-40 (Moto E class). The ZTE Max at the same price is better. However, you really should look for an LG G2 in that price range which regularly goes $100-120.

I couldn't find any references to this phone on SD, so I don't know. I agree regarding whether it's truly unlocked, but they do bother mentioning it in two places in the text and one in the URL.

Screen-wise, it all depends. Yeah, that resolution isn't as nice as the 1280x720 on other phones in that size, but smaller fonts at higher resolution are still small.

I mostly linked it because, for brand-conscious buyers, this is a recognized brand with reputable quality for $100.

Tempting, but I'm waiting for AT&T to send me the unlock code on the ZTE ZMax2 to give it a try, would bite for less than $75 on the Samsung but $100 is not that great.
