This is pretty good in some aspects. Though I'll probably hang on to GCU for now (I'm actually in until mid 2018), especially with some differences in the programs.

Amazon is only for new releases, while BB is year-round on any game, recently released or not.

Amazon is limited to one copy while you can get up to three copies per platform/year with BB.

RD shipping is more reliable with Amazon from my experience but the last couple of major title releases I've opted for BB store pickup since I have one conveniently near me at work instead of waiting for UPS/USPS to show up late afternoon/evening. Though Amazon might be better if you don't have a BB nearby you.

I also picked BB when most major new titles had the $10 pre-order but it seems that is slowly going away as few titles remain on the list.

I also (just barely) hit Elite status for 2016, so I'll probably put most of my gaming purchases through BB still.

Sweet!! It pretty much trumps me having EA Access for my preorder of Mirror's Edge Catalyst. I will still have to find out about the dlc

Yea I dont purchase enough video games anymore I feel to warrant spending money on BOTH perks. I'll keep amazon prime over GCU, but we'll see!!

Excited for Twilight Princess for the Wii U!!! Finally I can dust that thing off.

Great points, Kasty. The thing for me that will keep me at Best Buy is that I can wait for the game to hit ~$40 and then get the 20% off of that.

Hmmmm....

$100 per year for Amazon Prime, limited to ONE copy of a game and it's only for new releases/preorders

OR

$15 a year for GCU, 3 per title per platform limit and the 20% works on ALL games

Yeah. If you buy lotsa crap from Amazon and already have Prime(I've never paid for a full year of it) this is just an added perk. But most of what I buy I can get locally the same damn day versus waiting for Amazon to ship it to me. Plus there's no difference now with Amazon taking the 6% sales tax for PA. So.....

From my own experiences, he uses and abuses the sites he is a member of. He cares about no one but himself. If there's a deal ANYWHERE, he is the person to buy 100x of whatever it is to resell for profit, and usually get the deal pulled or canceled.

He lives near me. A couple years ago, he bought five copies of a game on clearance at target closest to me. Bragged about it here then soon found out the trade value wasn't worth a 'flip'. When I called him on it for being a scumbag for buying out the stock, he PM'ed me and told me he would now purposely return them to a target far away from me so I can't get a copy for myself.
Whine more, please.

I might use this. Don't think so, though. I buy multiplayer games on the PSN in case I want to "game share". Only single player games I can think of this year are Uncharted or FFXV.

The only time I'd use this over GCU is if BB isn't offering a 10 dollar cert for a day one buy for me.

The fact that it works on sale items is a winner. Especially when they do deals around Christmas like the B2G1 deal.

Might be good for those who currently have prime and no B&M Bestbuy near them.

Depends on how much you buy, but GCU is still better for me.

Plus it is always convenient to simply drive to my local BB to get my game versus shipping (even release day shipments don't seem to arrive for me until the afternoon).

If I am cycling these $10 gift cards on new releases, I am paying $38 per title. I can trade these same games back in after a few weeks for $30-33.
