Beware, if you have done one of these in the past, Amazon has a bug in their system where it will show you qualify on the final checkout page, even if you don't. So you might not get the credit even if it says you will.

The customer service will tell you that you should have read the terms and won't honor it (despite the fact that there are no terms mentioned on the checkout page) either, unless you start escalating, in which case they will tell you the same thing but give you a "one time courtesy credit".

I've never had any issues with Amazon in the past, but I was shocked when they didn't even want to see the screenshot where it said I would receive an item on the "Review your order page" that I did not receive, and they told me tough. That's not what a credit card company would say in a dispute.

Good luck, if it's the same promotion as last time, you may not receive the credit. Keep an eye on it, and if their customer service refuses to help, ask for a supervisor, who honored it for me. If that doesn't work, email jeff.bezos@amazon.com, and they will help.
