Joel and Lana figured it out. IIRC they cleared out $10k in a night but then they had to buy back all the furniture Frown

casting couch type of work would get you in that range.

You can do this easily IF you have something of unique value to the community. What I mean is a YouTube channel, popular blog, useful website, software skills, and so forth. It's very doable once you find your niche.

What you cannot do easily is just sit down and say "I am quitting my job to be a blogger and make six figures!" You'll need a LOT of traffic and something you can sell/advertise to your audience. If you can write and make good compelling content (not just filler) this can work.

Sadly, though, there's no magic button you can press to make it happen. There's no "work at home" program you can just sign up for and watch the cash roll in.

I have an uncle who does industrial tech support from his home, but he's an engineer who worked years in an office. One nurse apparently makes $100K+ by transcribing or analyzing medical bills.

Agreed, its pretty easy if you have a certain skill set. I dont have it but i do know some that do. They work from home or in other parts of the world, never worry about traffic and etc. But they do have a skill set that allows them to.

I know someone that works for Intel that works from home. May have to go in maybe a few times per month. A friend that does IT security had a job working from home on most days as well. Both made over $100k in Northern California. I have two really close friends (married couple) that are mid volume sellers (mostly fashion, makeup related; they also branded a few of their own items) on ebay/amazon that clear over $100k, but that's two people and work 6-7 days per week. Only time one of them has to leave home is to drop off all their load of shipments. Their home is like a mini warehouse. Luckily it's a large home in Vegas.

With a big caveat that you need to be good at what you do. The late 90s days of "I know HTML" or "I know Photoshop" being a sought after skill are long over. You will need a lot of practice and a good artistic design eye to be able to make six figures. Or, you need to be able to produce good code and build bullet-proof systems.

There are simply too many overseas design/coding shops to make this a lucrative field if you expect to churn out a five-page boilerplate business website and then take the afternoon off. Not that that's a bad thing. I'm just saying like ANY trade it takes time, work, and talent.

Someone telling you what job can make 100k+ from home doesn't mean you're going to get a 100+ job from home.

This might as well be a thread about how to be a Doctor.
