I am not an expert on posting deals on here, so hopefully I am doing this right (or close enough to right).

This deal may not be for everyone, BUT if you are looking for 2 cell phones Verizon has what I think is a pretty good deal.

Basically if you buy the Droid Turbo 2 ($634, very nice phone) or the Droid Maxx 2 ($384, still a good phone, just a lesser phone than the Turbo 2 in a few areas) you can get the 2nd one 1/2 off.

Combine that with the fact Verizon will give you a $200 credit if you trade in an old smartphone (or a $20.00 new one from say Walmart, Meijer etc) you can end up getting a great deal on the 1st phone and a absolute steal (IMO) on the second.

All of this is before tax, but if you were to get one of the Turbo 2's for $434 ($634-$200 credit), you can get the second for ~$117 (1/2 off $634 = $317 - $200 = $117)

The Maxx 2 ends up basically free ($384 X 50% off = $192 - $200 - $8.00 credit)

I am not sure about all the rules about if you must keep the phone for a certain amount of time, if you can just buy the phone outright or have to do the 2 year payment plan thing etc.

BTW I will say I own the Droid Turbo 2. I personally love it. Wife has the Maxx 2. For me the Turbo 2 is much nicer, but the Maxx 2 meets her needs (she is not a power user) just fine.

Anyway, hopefully this post is ok and helps someone that may be in the market for a couple of droid phones.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

PROMO CODES TO TRY

1. SMART50
2. UPGRADE

I thought I'd this to the wiki for quick reference and help:
1) The promotion ends 02/25/2016
2) $10 smartphone for Tradein. Huawei Glory [walmart.com] (Phone name is needed on Verizon trade in site)
Credit to OP SiriusBlk for posting deal for this phone
Verizon PrePaid phones are not accepted as Trade-Ins.

The $200 trade-in is for "Upgrade eligible lines only" aka existing customers. I am a new customer and got denied at the Verizon store.

FOR NEW VERIZON CUSTOMERS & FOR INFORMATION FOR CALCULATED UPGRADE TOTALS

Arbitration Verizon

There's only one sure way to hit Verizon where it hurts them the most.

Submit your dispute to: NoticeofDispute@Verizonwireless.com on this form or even without the form.
https://www.verizonwireless.com/d...ispute.pdf

Select Arbitration. Wait 30 days. If you don't get a response, file arbitration at www.adr.org and ask for in-person arbitration.
Verizon is required to pay the cost of arbitration including the filing fee, if you ask for it in writing. Their cost is $3700 per case.
Be sure to ask for some type of "equitable relief" such as you want them to perform the remainder of the contract,
otherwise they'll transfer the case to small claims to avoid paying the arbitration fees.

They'll try to offer you $500 to go away - if that's close to the amount of lost gift cards, accept it; if not, reject and proceed to a hearing. -my2

Verizon Order via Xfinity to apply multiple GCs

Here is my write up on paying off your DPP through Xfinity.... Please feel free to point out if I missed something Big Grin

Go to xfinity.com/verizonwireless
Select 'Buy Now' and ignore the promo listed as it has expired (but don't worry, more to come about this).
From this point on, make sure every time you make a selection and a new page loads that you see the 'Xfinity/Verizon Wireless' logo is at the top of the page (more on this later). Clicking that 'Buy Now' button should bring you to a log-in page. Enter your Verizon account info and sign in.
Now, select 'Device with Service'. This should bring you to a page showing all of your lines, devices attached and upgrade eligibility.
This is where it might get a little tricky depending on number of DPP's you have and if you have been moving SIM cards around between devices but in any case choose the line you believe the DPP you want to pay off by checking the Upgrade/Upgrade available box below the device and then select the red 'Continue' button.
You should now be on the page offering you the opportunity to 'Own your device and upgrade'. It will show the remaining amount owed for the DPP on that line. If the amount matches what you were expecting to pay then check off the box to select the payoff option and then select the red ' Continue' button.
You will now be sent to a page to select your new device. We have been selecting the 'Droid Mini' as it is the cheapest smartphone available this way ($108 or $4.50/mo for 24 months. You should do the same and then once again 'Continue'
Unless you want a different color than white (red and black are available) simply 'Add to Cart'
Now, just keep 'Continuing' through the various options presented to you such as protection plans. accessories, etc. you will eventually get to the 'Review you Order page' which will show lots of things but the important part is showing 'Device Buyout Pmt' which should be the amount of the DPP you are getting rid of and then the 'Total Due Today' which should be the DPP payout plus the tax due on the new Droid Mini. *** You can attempt to add the 'UPGRADE' promo code on this page. It will accept it but for many it does not reduce the amount for the phone*** If that is correct select the red 'Continue' button.
You now will be agreeing to your new DPP contract, it will show the terms for the mini at $108 spread over 24 months which works out to $4.50/mo. unless the UPGRADE code worked for you then terms will be $8 spread over 24 months which equals $0.33/mo. Check off the ' I have read and agree' box accepting their terms and then the red 'Continue' button.
You are finally at the payment page, look for 'Select payment type' and change to 'Gift Card'. If the amount you are paying off is more than $300 you have to change the payment amount field to $300 (amount available on your gift card) then add the card number and PIN info, check the box agreeing to their terms and then click the red 'Submit' button. You should get a popup saying 'partial payment accepted'.
Now, you should be seeing the same payment page again but with a $300 lesser amount due. Follow the same steps as above, if the amount due is less than $300 then simply enter your second gift cards info. Before you select 'Submit' ***Important*** please make sure you still have the same Xfinity/Verizon Wireless' logo at top of screen. Once you select 'Submit' you are finalizing your order. Reason for watching the logo is that if present you have done the transaction thru Xfinity and qualify for their rebate program. Current terms say you will receive a $50 visa card for an upgrade (which you are doing) though some have received more, even up to $200 back which more than covers the price of the droid mini.

You can check status of the rebate process via this link http://www.card-status.com/vzw-xfinity/status.

Be patient with checking this as it is not even close to being updated regularly, it is showing 'no order found' for me on orders placed 4 days ago and on another they have shipped the card even though I haven't had the phone long enough for it to get to that stage (they wait 14 days before progressing as that is the window for returning the device).
Check your order conformation email, if it lists the 'Location Code' as E184001 then you went through the proper procedure to qualify for the Xfinity gift card. Anything else means the proper referral code was not sent when you placed your order, Xfinity gets nothing and you get nothing Frown
Once you get new phone you need to activate it to complete the rebate process. Seems like a lot of work but now you can pay off the new DPP directly thru the Verizon website without buying a new phone though you will be probably be limited to paying them off one per day per gift card (just got to this point so not positive).

Hope this helps and good luck! -MachVii

Ditto the DT2 kudos! Have had Galaxies and LG G2, and iPhone 6+. I still love my kids DT2 I just got him for Christmas. Still fighting iOS but love the fact that I go to bed w/ a phone that's still 60% charged and never crashes or hangs... I don't see much huppla over the iPhone camera... not that much better or faster...

I believe you can only trade 1 phone in per order and not 2 even though you are buying 2 new phones

not sure about online. but when wife and I went in and got new phones in store they let us each trade in an old smartphone. I actually had an old one already. For hers we went to Mejier, got a $20 prepaid phone, and they were fine with it.

they applied $400 to our account.

I should be clear - this was about a month ago and was not part of the buy one, get one 1/2 deal. But regardless we bought two phones, they applied $200 towards each purchase ($400 total)

Did you try to add the phones and attempt trade-ins? I just tried with a new line activation and TIV is $0 for phones that would otherwise yield $200 normally.

I actually went into a Verizon store. And one of the actual Verizon stores, not an 'authorized' seller. Not sure if that matters that it was an actual Verizon store, just pointing it out. So they just handled the $200 credit for me. they just did it all in one transaction per link above

But on the web site I think it is a bit confusing. There is a section that shows a trade in, but then way at the bottom it mentions the $200 credit thing. Again, for me in the store the $200 was for any phone what so ever. I traded in a 6 year old HTC Incredible. All it had to do is power on.

So not sure I am helping you much. If you are serious about getting two phones (or really even one and the discount) it MIGHT be best to go into the a store vs web. OR calling customer support and have them walk you through it.

These are deals on their own web site, not really trying to trick them out of anything.

follow this link and look WAY at the bottom at the $200 credit section

http://www.verizonwireless.com/sm...d-turbo-2/

sorry if I am not helping completely, again I did not actually do this via the web site

yikes, sorry for yet another message BUT - I just want to make sure folks know this too. If you go into a store you can ALSO (for the Droid Turbo) do the Moto Maker, and design your own phone. custom backs, sides etc. You can go into a store and do that too. OR I just went with one of the basic versions myself. but it is an option
here are the designs you could pick out

TO BE CLEAR - This is the Motorola site, but you can go into a Verizon store and do the same thing

I am not sure I completely follow what you are asking, but I'll try to answer:

This buy one phone get another 1/2 off deal is NOT a month old. it is BRAND NEW. Started today I believe. I think goes for about 3 days

In addition to that, if you DO have an old smartphone you can ALSO trade that in if you are purchasing a Droid Turbo 2 or Droid Maxx 2 and receive a $200 credit. That is NOT new.

I did not get the Buy One get one half off deal when I made my purchase about a month ago. I wish they did. I would of saved about $192 off the Maxx 2 I bought. To be fair the Droid Turbo 2 was on sale for $100 less then today, so I guess I really only lost about $92. but that is the 'new' deal today

I did get the $200 credit for each phone. I think that has been going on for awhile.

I am posting this mainly for the buy one get one 1/2 off deal. This maybe is really only a deal if you want TWO phones. If you do NOT, the now $634 turbo 2 was $534 when I bought it ($100 off sale).

Finally, both appear to be online. I have provided links. shows the buy one get one 1/2 off and the $200 credit details.

I am not sure what a DD code is... sorry I am not much of a slickdeal expert.

If I understood it when I got my Turbo 2 I could of done the moto maker and waited, and I thought it was the exact same price, just instead of the 3-4 models they had in the store it would be 2-3 weeks to get the phone. I apologize if that is wrong and I made it more confusing...

the turn around and trade in an old phone for $200 is separate from that, and I could of done that as well I assume.

Can you take a screenshot with the date and time that shows the $200 trade in offer? I have been looking everywhere and I can't find it
