Duet for iOS is on sale for $7.99 (regular $15.99): https://itunes.apple.com/app/duet...mpt=uo%3D6

It allows you to draw or control your Windows PC or Mac using your iPad, iPad Pro, iPhone, or iPod touch. It also allows you to use your iOS device as a second screen for your PC / Mac

After you buy the app, you need to download the PC or Mac app: http://www.duetdisplay.com

Don't have an iPad Pro but was curious enough to check this out and thought I'd pass on what I found. There's another deal going on right now with Astropad Graphics Tablet for $9.99 [regular $19.99], but this seems to have more / better functionality, and is $2 cheaper. Enjoy Smilie

All the photos make it look like an iPad needs to be tethered to a PC/Mac for this to work, if that is the case then Splashtop's XDisplay [apple.com] looks to do the same for only $2

This is a great app and a great deal! I paid $15.99 for it a few months ago. It's a great way to have a second screen when you are on the road or just need one at home.

After I did my research, this was the best tethering second screen app. it's made by ex-Apple engineers and its pretty seamless, with almost no lag which is very impressive. I believe that HD might be coming down the pipeline with increased bandwidth ports in the future like USB 3 and such.

Running video is difficult as well as gaming. But it does well for giving an old ipad a new purpose!

WRONG
Sorry, which one is wrong, the one that it is Google or the one that it is free?

The tethering is what makes Duet better than Splashtop. Splashtop is wireless, which makes for a really laggy experience. Duet is hardwired which makes the lag unnoticeable for normal use (I haven't tried it for gaming). It basically turns your iPad into a second monitor. If you want more screen real estate and already have an iPad, $7.99 basically gets you a second monitor. I use my iPad as my main monitor for my media server

This app is killer. Works well even with my 4 year old computer and 3 year old iPad

Keep in mind this won't work on 1st gen iPads. The app requires iOS 7+ on the device (1st gens max out at iOS 5).

Outside of the bickering between Chrome Remote Desktop and Duet Display, what are the major differences in performance between the two?
