What's with SD "breaking" links?

It seems like there's more and more, especially in C&S that require the
Code:
code
copy/paste treatment.

ie:
http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_talk/giveaways/
redirecting to:
http://www.cbs.com/

SD makes its money off inserting referral codes, so they can get a take on purchases made.
