Nice find. I'm torn between this or 650. I only have Smart TV, Soundbar and Cable Box to control.

What are the differences between this [amazon.com] and the posted deal?

It looks like the "home control" is a newer model, and the hub is different as well (think it has RF). The play/pause/ff/rw buttons are also placed a bit better. A refurbed white one is only $80 on e-bay, I feel like that might be a better deal. But not sure if it's actually necessary if you have no "home" devices.

The home control has buttons to control home devices such as lights. RF is nice. All together, 10 bucks it would definitely be worth buying.

I still purchased this deal for the following reasons:
Best Buy is next to my house, if I don't like it it's an easy return.
It's new.
I do have smart devices, but am going to try to integrate with my echo.

There is a chance I'll be in love, and in which case I might do the upgrade Smilie.

I know it might not mean much to some, but the newer "home control" model has a matte black/white finish, while the older model has a glossy piano black finish.

Again, it depends on the individual, but I went for the matte finish. It's less prone to scratches and finger prints.

For those interested, here is the eBay link to the refurbished model.

Would this single purchase allow me to control up to 8 devices in multiple rooms? Or would I need more than one hub to achieve this? Any help and feedback is appreciated!

I bought one of these last time and returned it. I wanted to like it, but without the screen it can be confusing to some what device is what and how to switch around. if you're the only user in the house, this might not be bad. but most spouses and significant others might not be as patient lol

Agree! If only this had a screen like the Harmony One with the phone features and built in repeater function it would be a sale for me.laugh out loud

If you have it shipped, be aware that BestBuy.com seems to be shipping store stock: product boxes have what appear to be spider-wrap damage and other wear/tear, and I've seen at least one seal that looks like an attempted reseal with transparent tape.

You may not care if the contents is in new condition, but if you're giving this as a gift it looks a little sketch.

I rarely see this with BestBuy.com; I wonder if there's a significant glut of these in their stores, which would explain them pulling them off the shelf, shipping them back to the warehouse and using them to fulfill orders for delivery, plus the frequent $70 sales.

this hub and Amazon echo work great together using ifft... other than that I think the remote is not as good as say a 650
